Is stump grinding included with tree removal?
It should be listed in the estimate if you want it included. You can also request stump grinding for a tree that was removed previously.
Does grinding remove all of the roots?
Grinding reduces the stump and the agreed surrounding area. It does not remove the entire root system. Discuss your plans for the space before deciding on the scope.
What happens to the wood chips?
Grinding leaves a mixture of wood chips and soil. Agree on whether that material stays or needs to be removed, and whether additional backfill is part of the job.
What affects the cost?
Stump size, the number of stumps, access, ground conditions and the requested cleanup affect the estimate. Share those details when you get in touch.
